Premier Wavesailing Spots on the South African West Coast

Melkbosstrand

General

Melkbos is an excellent allround wavesailing spot with good waveriding and wavejumping conditions. Melkbos picks up more swell than Sunset Beach, but the wind is much less consistent. The wide beach allows for clean wind, but spectators are far removed from the action. There are no facilities.

Conditions

Cross-shore and occasionally cross-offshore winds with beach-break conditions. Good for wave riding and wave jumping.
